The hoist section operates all year round. There are two hoists, both of which operate three hours either side of high water, seven days a week:
- a 65 ton ‘Wise’ dock hoist capable of lifting vessels up to 25 metres in length with a maximum beam of up to 6.2 metres
- a 25 ton ‘Wise’ slipway hoist capable of lifting vessels up to 15 metres in length with a maximum beam of up to 4.5 metres
During peak season months (from November to May) there is a waiting list.

Boat storage is available at La Collette Boat Park. You can access this via the main vehicle gate which is open from 8am to 5pm. If you want to enter the boat park outside of these hours you will require a swipe card which is available from the Hoist Office.
If you already have a swipe card, then you can have it updated for access to the boat park by taking the card to the Marine Leisure Centre.
